Gravita India has announced a capital investment of Rs 64 crore to scale up its copper recycling capacity by 59,200 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) at its established facility in Mundra, Gujarat.
Scheduled for a phased rollout with a target commissioning date of 2029, the project will be funded entirely through internal accruals. The strategic expansion leverages the Mundra plant's close proximity to a major port, optimizing logistics for both raw material imports and finished product delivery to domestic and international markets.
Beyond boosting global circular economy initiatives, the capacity addition serves as a crucial backward integration move. It directly strengthens the raw material pipeline and processing footprint for Gravita's proposed plant in Mandvi, Gujarat.
